Style Suite Fashion Recap

The MomsFashionFile team used their skills to play fashion-fairy godmothers at BlogHer in San Diego. The team of four moms, brought together some of our very favorite brands to give 12 lucky moms a wardrobe boost. It all started with a shopping excursion. We pulled racks and racks of clothing at LOFT at local San Diego stores. Back at our suite at the Hard Rock, we set out the outfits for our lucky moms to see.

Some of our other lucky moms got outfitted in gorgeous Kiyonna dresses. These designs are made just for plus-sized fashionistas! Our bloggers were dazzling in the wrap dresses that work for any season. Doesn’t Karen look amazing!

Of course we wanted to spoil these moms from head to toe–so it wasn’t just outfits we were after. We also gave them support from underneath–thanks to shapewear, bras and panties from Bali.

And since we were giving them glam outfits we needed shoes. That’s where Payless and Dr.Scholl’s came in–each mom got a new pair of shoes to complement her look. The looks surprised many of our moms–but we had sponsors that know how to do style on a budget.

But that’s not all! We also had jewels to bestow on these ladies. LOFT fully accessorized each outfit with earring, necklaces and more. Stella & Dot gave us swank jewels for the Kiyonna dresses (we’re co-hosting a trunk show with them now). Since mom bloggers seem to always need a portable office (aka the mom bag) we decided it should be equally as fabulous as her new look. That’s where Namaste bags came in–these vegan bags are bright and so chic.

Lands’ End sponsored two of our guests stylists, Kate and Jo-Lynne. These trendy moms passed out goody bags (swim gear of course for sunny San Diego) and looked so terrific as Lands’ End ambassadors at our event.

The evening’s main event was seeing our 12 moms walk the pink carpet/runway. Here are two of the amazing women–Sharon in LOFT and Varda in Kiyonna from the event.

Thank you so much to our main sponsor Plum District for making this night possible. Even the swag bags were stylish!

Now we ask you…who is ready to sign up for next year! Tim Gunn look out–we’re big time now.
