Fur Trends for Your Everyday Wardrobe
Wearing fur is on trend for fall but can also be a difficult trend for moms to incorporate into our everyday attire. We’re always on the go and most hours of our day require “practical” attire. We need pieces that don’t scream street walker or give the impression that we’re trying too hard to be hip and chic.
Incorporating fur is easier than you think, doesn’t need to cost a fortune and will extend beyond one season. This particular trend doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon, so it’s not necessarily a bad investment. No matter what your budget, we have a few options to incorporate into your fall and winter wardrobe.

Bootcamp for Tummies with Mama Mio! Take the 30 Day Challenge
How fit is your belly? Very few women are 100% happy with this area no matter how slim they are post pregnancy. The number one cause of a belly bulge is diastasis recti. I developed diastasis during my second pregnancy and not matter how much I exercise and eat healthy, a little bump remains a fixture on my post baby body.
Surprisingly, this is extremely common. After giving birth many women develop a gap between their abdominal muscles that can be felt beneath the belly button, running up to the ribs and down to the pubic bone. This gap, called diastasis recti, was once covered in muscle, holding everything behind it. With the separation, there is no ‘corset of muscle’ to hold the stomach wall tight and flat.
This often leads to back pain and bulging belly. Oh, the joys of motherhood! The only way to eliminate both is to weave that muscle back together and create a strong core, a ‘corset’ that holds you in. Crunches are not the answer and, in fact, can make the bulge worse.
If you need to tackle the tummy bulge, take the 30 day Mama Mio Bootcamp for Tummies with me! I’m committing for the next 30 days to follow this quick and super-easy program. Who doesn’t want flatter and sexier abs! The benefits are well worth the commitment.

Windows Phones for the Fashionable Mom
Who knew phones could be so fashionable? We did, which is why Moms Fashion File could not have been more excited to partner with the only phone that comes with Microsoft Office, Xbox Live, and thousands of apps.
Windows Phones were all the rage at our Secret Style Suite as their team was on hand providing live demos, answering questions and giving away several phones throughout the evening.
Style Suite Fashion Recap
The MomsFashionFile team used their skills to play fashion-fairy godmothers at BlogHer in San Diego. The team of four moms, brought together some of our very favorite brands to give 12 lucky moms a wardrobe boost. It all started with a shopping excursion. We pulled racks and racks of clothing at LOFT at local San Diego stores. Back at our suite at the Hard Rock, we set out the outfits for our lucky moms to see.
Moms Fashion File Secret Style Suite 2011
The Moms Fashion File team spent hours upon hours putting together one of the hottest and chicest events at BlogHer 2011 in San Diego.
Over 150 stunning, stylish blog superstars spent the evening mixing and mingling at the Hard Rock Hotel in not one, but two luxury suites with an outdoor terrace that boasted breathtaking views of San Diego’s skyline as Ciao Bella served up refreshing cocktails and sangria. The evening concluded with our 12 beautiful, styled bloggers walking the Plum District runway followed by an unexpected fireworks display!
Thank you to all the lovely ladies who attended and our sincerest appreciation to our generous sponsors that made it all possible – Plum District, Ciao Bella, Trop 50 and Johnson’s. A special thanks to Stokke, Scotch Naturals and Windows Phone!
No event would be complete without a Plum District bag filled with swag!
